A note from the Jeweler

“I have very high standards for my jewelry designs and strive to work as if working for God rather than man. I value quality over quantity and strive to produce the highest value work for those I serve. I do much of my work in house but there are some jobs that I outsource to highly skilled, USA-based craftsmen who are experts in their trade. Every job challenges me to become a better jeweler so that I can better serve you. God bless! ” ~Joshua

FAQ

What should I prepare for my free consultation?

You should ideally have considered the following three items prior to your consultation.

  1. What are you looking for in general (e.g. an engagement ring, wedding bands, both, etc.).
  2. What is your deadline for this project?
  3. What is your budget? If you don’t have a number in mind consider how much you would feel comfortable spending on this project. Having a clear budget will greatly help speed up the design process.

Custom jewelry may generally take anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks to create, but sometimes can fall outside this range. We recommend about a month lead time to ensure we have plenty of time to work something out for your special occasion. Please note that as this is currently a very small business operation we have to balance time between production orders and custom design. Additionally, more time allows us to work with care and not cut corners that could compromise long term quality.

Yes, due to the nature of our mission we cannot take on custom projects that would compete with or compromise that message, also there may be legal or logistical circumstances that would prevent us from making certain items. Below is a list of types of items that we do not produce:

  • Items with cremation ashes or remains
  • Items depicting symbols associated with death, non-christian spirituality, sexual imagery or symbolism, drug paraphernalia (examples include skull jewelry, ankhs, thor’s hammers, pentagrams, BDSM items, nude imagery, plug necklaces)
  • Items that contain copyrighted or trademarked material unless fair use laws apply or permission is expressly granted (examples include sport team logos, copying designer jewelry, etc.)
  • Items of extremely high value. We are currently a very small operation and cannot take on the potential risk of damaging very high value gems and certain designs may simply be beyond our means.
  • Any items that celebrate the gay or trans lifestyle
  • Although we will make Christian religious items, due to the owner’s protestant convictions, we do not produce iconography, saint jewelry, Rosaries, or any items that depict the figure of Christ except in very symbolic form like a manger scene.

Currently we do not offer any kind of payment plans, and we encourage our customers not to go into debt for jewelry purchases if you can avoid it. The custom design process usually does involve at least 3 separate payments, an initial deposit which is not refundable and covers our design and consultation costs (see Design Levels above). Second a 50% material deposit that is required to initiate the production process. And third the final payment.

When casting new jewelry it is best practice to use new material because the impurities in the old metal may result in brittle material. That being said we can recycle your old material for trade in credit towards your purchase (note we do not pay cash for precious metals at this time). Additionally we can use parts of your jewelry as components in a new design. If you wish to use your jewelry in either of these cases we will review that process in your free consultation.

Generally speaking the step by step process is as follows:

  1. Free consultation: we get an idea of your project and decide what level of service best fits your needs
  2. You pay the initial deposit and schedule a 1 hour Design Meeting
  3. We provide an initial design and full price quote
  4. You approve the designs or request revisions until it’s right
  5. You pay a 50% material deposit and we begin production
  6. We do a final inspection and notify you the item is ready to ship
  7. You make the final payment and we ship the item to you ASAP
  8. You receive the item and celebrate!

Ring sizing guide

How to measure your ring size at home

Step 1: Gather supplies

You will need the following items to measure your ring size:

  • A sheet of paper
  • Scissors
  • A marker
  • A ruler (with millimeter measurements)
  • Our size conversion chart  (see below)

Fold about 1/4 inch of the paper to create a strip

It’s ok if it’s not perfect but try to keep it a fairly consistent width of about 1/4 inch.

This step is optional but it will help you know which end to measure from later.

Starting with the unmarked end of the strip, wrap it all the way around your finger until you reach the other end with the mark. Make sure that it is wrapped as snugly as possible around the portion of your finger where the ring will sit. (Tip, you can tear the strip smaller so it is easier to wrap.)

While holding the strip tightly in place, use the marker to make a mark directly on the seam where the end of the strip overlaps itself. You may want to have a friend help with this step.

Measure from the very edge of the strip, where you marked in step 4, to the outer edge of the mark you made along the seam. We recommend using millimeters for a more precise reading. This measurement is the circumference that will be used in the next step.

Compare your measurement to the chart below to find your ring size. Note, our chart is specially formulated to give an accurate measurement, using another ring size chart may yield incorrect results. If your measurement is between two sizes then use the smaller size. For example, in the photos above the measurement of 65mm would yield a size 10.

We strongly recommend you verify your ring size by going to a local jewelry shop or department store with a jewelry section. Ask the sales rep to measure your finger size (they will usually do this for free). Alternatively you can ask if they can measure a ring that you know fits or if they have a ring in stock of the desired size. When trying on rings it is important that the ring feels snug and catches somewhat when pulled over the knuckle to ensure it will not fall off. Please note that people have unique hand shapes, some have large knuckles and bony fingers while others have thin knuckles and chunky fingers so the right size for you might differ slightly from somebody else even though they seem to measure the same.

Congrats you found your ring size!

"Do you Carry my size?"

So you found the perfect ring on our website, but your size is not an option, now what? Not to worry, if your size is off by 1/4 size but is between available options consider choosing a 1/4 size lower if you like a more snug feel, or 1/4 larger if you like to keep things loose. If you need exactly 1/4 between sizes just add a note on the checkout page or email us to let us know. If your desired size is outside the available range, either smaller or larger, please send us an email and most likely we can adjust the ring to fit your size as a special order item.
